New project?

According to brazilian portal O Fuxico, Alice is making tests for star the new Mike Binder movie, The Friday Night Knitting Club, besides the pretty woman Julia Roberts.

Other young actresses are doing the tests also. So we need to wait and crossing fingers to Alice.

Blindness and Venice

Blindness is all around here, in Brazil. August 25 was the pre-screening in São Paulo and last night the pre-screening in Rio. Unfortunally, Alice only attended the press conference in São Paulo (which I’ll be adding pictures soon), she won’t go in any screening.

But I’ve found pretty and HQ new stills of her in the movie:

Today, our girl is in Italy, I found some pictures from the Opening Ceremony of 65th Venice Festival and Alice is beautiful!

Alice and mom working together

Alice will be working with her mom in her next brazilian project, Marco Ricca’s “Cabeça à Prêmio”. The work will start in September.

Aninha Braga will be her mom in the movie.

Short Movie Festival

It was opened yesterday, in São Paulo, the “Festival Internacional de Curtas“. It is the leading event for short films in Latin-America and a very special meeting place where filmmakers can exchange esthetics, political and economic experiences related to shorts.

Bringing an expressive selection of films in the international program, a showcase of Latin American shorts and the largest annual display for the Brazilian production, the event attracted approximately 28.000 spectators in 2007.

The festival presents special programs that bring the short branches into a diversity of forms, including retrospectives, tributes, and digital films made in the outskirts of big cities.

Alice was there in the opening, besides Wagner Moura (his partner in “Cidade Baixa”), and Rummikub will be presented during the festival.

The festival runs from August 22 to August 29

Alice in a new campaign

The Brazilian actress Alice Braga was clicked by Bob Wolfenson for the spring campaign of Hering. This is the first time that she participates in an advertising campaign and the reason was noble: she donated her salary for IBCC (Brazilian Institute of Control of Cancer).
“I am very happy in participating, the people need to have conscience that the disease doesn’t only happen with the other ones”, Alice said.

Alice arrived at the studio with great humor. The brunette guaranteed moments of amusement for all that accompanied the rehearsal and who heard her cellular one play, with a touch that imitates croaking of a toad, they also burst out laughing.

During the pictures, the actress revealed that she will be the protagonist of the film “Cabeça “a Prêmio” (Head to Prize), the first of Marco Ricca as director. In September, she leaves to Mato Grosso do Sul, where the recordings happen. The itinerary is based on the book of same name of Marçal Aquino and it portrays the decadence of a family of farmers that migrate for the drug traffic.
